Video guide
Prefer to watch? This video walks through scheduling a clip — the two fields, the flow, and what you can change while it waits.
This guide covers how to schedule a clip to publish at a future date and time, what happens during moderation, and the small list of things that can knock a scheduled release off track.
1) Where the schedule fields live

On the clip add / edit form (/store-manager/add-clip/ or /store-manager/clips/ → click any draft / pending clip), scroll past the basic fields. The two scheduling fields sit together in their own row:
- Planned release date — a standard date picker. Helper text: “Optional. The clip still goes through moderation first. Once approved, a future release date/time will schedule publication automatically.”
- Planned release time — a time field. Type any exact time, or pick from the suggested list. Helper text: “Pick or type any exact release time you want, for example 18:07.”
Leave both blank to publish as soon as moderation approves the clip. Set a date alone (no time) and the platform treats it as that-date at midnight in your local time. Set both for an exact moment.
2) The flow — what actually happens
- You upload the clip + fill in the form, including a future date / time, and click Submit clip for review.
- Moderation reviews the clip as normal. Scheduling doesn’t shortcut moderation — every clip still gets human-checked. See Why was my clip rejected for the moderation outcomes.
- If moderation approves, the clip’s status becomes Approved, but instead of going live immediately it slips into a Scheduled state because your release date/time is in the future. You’ll see it in your Clips list with the Scheduled badge.
- At the exact release date + time, the clip is published automatically. It appears on your storefront, in the New Clips homepage rail, in category and tag pages, and is immediately buyable / streamable.
- If moderation requested changes instead, your scheduled date is preserved on the clip — fix what was asked, click Update clip and resubmit, and the schedule is honoured if approval lands before the release date passes.
The Scheduled state shows in your Clips overview as a coloured pill (purple, distinct from the green Approved pill that means “live”).
3) What you can change before / during the wait
- The release date or time — open the clip, change the values, save. The schedule snaps to the new date/time. (If you push it into the past, the clip publishes immediately.)
- Title, description, tags, price — all editable. The edit doesn’t reset the moderation gate as long as the main media files don’t change.
- The trailer — same: editable without re-triggering full re-moderation.
- The main clip file — replacing it cancels the existing approval and the clip goes back through moderation. If approval lands before the release date, the schedule still fires; if not, the schedule slips and the clip publishes whenever approval lands.
If you want to cancel the schedule entirely and publish now, just blank both date / time fields and save. Approved status + no schedule = published immediately.
4) The five things that can delay a scheduled release
- Moderation isn’t done yet at the scheduled time. The clip publishes as soon as moderation approves, even if that’s after the scheduled date. To avoid surprises, submit at least 24 hours before your planned release.
- Moderation requested changes. Until you resubmit + get approved, the clip isn’t going anywhere. Keep an eye on your Clips overview and reply email.
- You replaced the main clip file in the meantime. Triggers re-moderation; same logic as above.
- The release time was set in your wrong timezone. The platform stores times in your local timezone (Berlin time on the server side, displayed in your browser local). Double-check after saving by re-opening the clip — the saved values are what will fire.
- You marked the clip as Disabled or saved it as Draft after scheduling. Both states pause the schedule — the clip won’t publish until you flip it back to Approved + the schedule is in the future.
5) Email signals
- “Your clip was approved” email arrives when moderation passes. If you scheduled, the email mentions the scheduled date.
- No separate “now publishing” email. When the clock strikes the release time, the clip just goes live silently. We don’t spam you with a second notification.
- “Changes requested” email arrives if moderation flagged something. Schedule is preserved — fix and resubmit before the date if you want it to fire on time.
6) Use cases — when scheduling actually helps
- Friday-evening drops. Upload Wednesday, schedule for 8pm Friday — gives moderation 48 hours and lands the clip when your audience is most active.
- Themed weeks. Schedule a series of clips to drop one per day over a week. Upload them all on Monday, schedule them at 7pm Mon → 7pm Sun.
- Coordinating with a feed post or live stream. Schedule the clip to land 30 minutes before you go live, then mention it in chat.
- Time-zone targeting. If most of your audience is in the US Pacific zone, schedule for evening-Pacific even if you’re in Europe.
7) FAQ
Q: Can I schedule a clip months in advance?
Yes. There’s no upper limit on the schedule date. The clip will sit in Scheduled state until the date arrives.
Q: What if I’m offline when the schedule fires?
No problem. The publish happens on the platform itself, not in your browser; you don’t need to be online. The clip publishes on time regardless of where you are.
Q: How precise is the release time?
The platform checks for due-to-publish clips every minute. So a clip scheduled for 18:07 will publish at 18:07 or within one minute after.
Q: I scheduled it for the past by mistake. What happens?
It publishes immediately. The platform interprets a past release time as “publish now”. Edit the clip and clear / fix the date if that wasn’t your intent.
Q: Can I see all my scheduled clips in one list?
Yes — your Clips overview shows every clip with its status. Sort or filter by Scheduled to see just the ones in the queue.
Q: Does scheduling work for free clips and paid clips equally?
Yes. The schedule mechanism is the same regardless of whether the clip is free, priced, included in a subscription, or part of a sale.
Q: Can I schedule a feed post the same way?
Yes. The composer at Store Manager → Feed posts → New post has a Schedule this post for later checkbox. Tick it, fill in Publish date & time, and click publish — the post stays hidden until that moment, then goes live on its own. While it’s scheduled there’s no fanout and no email digest, so subscribers won’t be notified until it’s actually published. You can edit or unschedule it any time before that by opening it again from the feed-posts list.
Q: I changed the release date, but the old date is still showing in my Clips list.
The Clips list caches the displayed date for ~1 minute. Reload the page after a minute and it will show the updated value.
Need more help
If a scheduled clip didn’t fire on time and isn’t blocked by moderation, open a ticket under Clips at Contacting support with the clip ID, the scheduled date / time, and the current Clips-overview status. We can trace the schedule and re-fire it manually if needed.
