Selling digital content means dealing with copies of your work showing up where they shouldn’t — on tube sites, file lockers, scraped content farms, or someone else’s account on a competing platform. This guide explains the two scenarios you’ll face, how to report each one, what we ask for, and what happens after you file.
1. Two scenarios — pick the right route
There are two very different situations and they go through different routes:

Use the right route. The Report flow is for content on the platform — moderators take it down internally. The DMCA email is for content off the platform — our DMCA team sends a formal takedown notice to the host.
2. When the rip-off is on Lewdden itself
Every public asset on the site has a Report button. The exact location depends on the surface, but the modal that opens is the same.
- Open the offending asset (the clip page, the feed post, the message thread).
- Find the Report button — usually in a kebab menu (the three-dot icon) near the asset’s controls.
- The Report modal opens with the heading Report and the question “What kind of report?” Pick Content (the default).
- Under Reason, pick Copyright / DMCA / impersonation.
- In the What happened? textarea, write what happened. Minimum 20 characters. (See §4 for what to include.)
- Click Submit report.
You’ll see a confirmation: “Thanks — our team will review.” If you’ve sent several reports recently, you may see “You’ve sent a lot of reports recently. Try again later.” — that’s a per-IP rate-limit, not a refusal. Wait an hour and retry.

3. When the rip-off is off-platform
Email [email protected] directly. We’ll handle the legal notice on your behalf — the host receives a properly formatted DMCA takedown that, by law in most jurisdictions, requires them to remove the content or face liability.
This service is free for creators publishing on Lewdden. You don’t need to know how to write a DMCA notice yourself, and you don’t need to pay a separate service for it. The “DMCA Protected” badge in the footer of every page on the site is shorthand for this — it means we’re standing behind the work creators publish here.
4. What to include in the email (or in the report body)
The more complete the first message, the faster the takedown lands. Cover these points:
- The infringing URL. The full link to the page where your work appears unauthorised. If the content is behind a login or geo-blocked, mention that.
- What was taken. Describe what’s yours — “the entire 12-minute clip”, “the first 90 seconds”, “the thumbnail image”, “the title and description copied verbatim”.
- Proof of ownership. A link to the original on lewdden.com (the canonical version), the original publication date, and ideally a link to the creator dashboard or your storefront page that ties the work to your account.
- How they got it. If you know — a leaked subscription account, a screen-recorded stream, a reposted feed post — say so. We don’t always need this but it speeds the case.
- Your contact details. Already in the email-from for the email route, but if you’ve changed your storefront name recently, mention both names.
If the content is on a major host (Pornhub, xHamster, MEGA, etc.), our team has expedited contacts at most of them — flag the host name in the subject line.
5. What happens after you file
For on-platform reports (Copyright / DMCA / impersonation reason)
A moderator reviews the report. If the case is clear — your work, posted by someone else — the offending asset is taken down. The action is fast (often within a business day) and includes:
- The asset is hidden from the public catalogue.
- Any cached delivery cookies are revoked, so links saved before the takedown stop working within minutes.
- The reposting account may face further action depending on the severity and whether it’s a repeat offence.
You generally won’t be told the outcome by name (we don’t share moderation decisions about other accounts), but if you check the offending URL after a day or two and it’s gone, the takedown landed.
For off-platform DMCA notices
Our DMCA team sends the formal takedown to the host. Response times vary by host:
- Major platforms (tube sites, file lockers, mainstream social): usually a few business days.
- Smaller hosts: can take longer, sometimes weeks. We follow up.
- Hosts in non-cooperative jurisdictions: may not respond at all. We escalate to upstream providers (CDN, registrar) where possible.
You’ll get an email back when the host responds or when we close the case. Reply to that email if the content reappears — repeat infringers get repeat takedowns; we keep the case file open.

7. Counter-notices — when someone files against you
The other side of the system: if someone files a DMCA notice against your content here on Lewdden, you’ll get an email explaining why your content was taken down, who claimed it, and how to file a counter-notice if you believe the takedown was wrong (mistaken identity, fair use, you actually own the work, etc.).
If you receive a takedown email and you do own the work — for example, the claimant is impersonating someone or the takedown was sent in error — reply to the email with proof and we’ll restore the asset. False or bad-faith DMCA claims are themselves a violation of the law in most jurisdictions, and we treat them seriously.
8. How to make takedowns faster next time
- Watermark your clips. A subtle creator-name overlay makes a stolen copy obviously yours, which speeds host response.
- Keep originals. The unedited source file with original timestamp metadata is the strongest proof of ownership.
- Build a personal reverse-image / video search routine. Tools like Google reverse-image search, IsItYou, or paid services flag new copies as they appear. The earlier you spot a leak, the smaller the audience it has.
- Don’t share clips outside DRM-protected channels. Anything you send via plain email or unprotected file share is a leak waiting to happen. Use Lewdden‘s own paid-message system to deliver clips to fans — it carries delivery protection.
- Track the leaker. If you suspect a specific subscriber is leaking, you can include unique watermarks per recipient. Mention this in your DMCA email when filing — we can correlate the leaked file’s watermark to a specific account if the watermarking is good.

Q: Is the DMCA service really free?
Yes. It’s free for creators publishing on Lewdden — it comes with the platform. The “DMCA Protected” badge in the footer is the visual reminder.
Q: How long does a DMCA notice take to work?
Anywhere from a few hours (major US-based platforms) to a few weeks (smaller or non-US hosts). We chase. Some hosts in non-cooperative jurisdictions never respond; in those cases we escalate to upstream providers (CDN, registrar) where possible.
Q: I found my clip on a tube site but I didn’t see it being uploaded — am I sure it was leaked?
Probably. Even if you delivered the clip only via paid messages, every copy a fan can see is a copy that could be screen-recorded or downloaded. Don’t second-guess — file the takedown.
Q: Can I report a creator on Lewdden for stealing my work without the Report modal?
Use the Report modal — it routes the case directly to moderation with the right context. If the modal isn’t accessible for some reason, email [email protected] with a link to the offending asset and we’ll handle it manually.
Q: Will the person whose content I reported see my name?
No. We don’t disclose the reporter’s identity to the reported party. Internal moderators see your account so they can follow up if needed.
Q: My content was taken down by mistake — what do I do?
Reply to the takedown email with proof of ownership and the context. False takedowns are reversed and the claimant may face platform action. See §7.
Q: I’m not sure if something counts as copyright infringement — should I still file?
If it’s a copy of your work, file. Edge cases (parody, fair use, transformative work) get reviewed on the merits when the counter-notice comes back; we’d rather review one borderline case than miss an outright theft.
