IBAN setup for international creators — pick the right service

Video guide

Prefer to watch? This short walkthrough shows you how to choose the right IBAN provider — Paxum, Wise, or Payoneer — and exactly what to copy onto your Partner-ID, right from your Payouts page.

Lewdden payouts run as EUR SEPA bank transfers to whatever IBAN is on your Partner-ID file. If you’re in the SEPA zone with a normal local bank account, your existing IBAN works — you’re done before this article starts. This guide is for the rest: creators outside SEPA, or creators inside SEPA whose bank doesn’t openly accept adult-creator income.

The three services we recommend — Paxum, Wise, and Payoneer — all give you a real EUR IBAN you can drop straight into your Partner-ID registration. All three are free to set up. Pick one, follow that guide, and come back here only if you need to compare again later.

For the broader payout context (rev share, monthly cycle, what triggers a payout), see How creator payouts work. For where the IBAN actually goes once you have it, see Setting up your Partner-ID for the first time.

1. The short answer

Match yourself to one of these and skip ahead — the rest of the article is for creators who want the longer comparison before they pick.

Use your existing IBAN

You live in the SEPA zone with a normal bank account that accepts your earnings.

No third-party signup, no extra fees. Type your IBAN into the Partner-ID registration and you’re done.

Use Paxum (recommended)

You want the lowest risk of a bank closing the account because of adult-creator income.

Paxum openly supports adult content creators — the other two are case-by-case. This is the right pick anywhere in the world if you’ve been burned by an account closure before.

Use Wise

You live in one of Wise‘s 80+ supported countries and want the cheapest currency conversion.

Free SEPA receiving plus the lowest mid-market markup (~0.57%) when you eventually move EUR into your local currency.

Use Payoneer

You live in a country Paxum and Wise don’t cover.

Available in 190+ countries — the broadest coverage of the three. Slightly higher fees, but if it’s the only one available where you live, that’s the right pick.

Most international Lewdden creators use Paxum first and only fall back to Wise or Payoneer if Paxum isn’t available where they live.

2. Side-by-side comparison

Feature Paxum (recommended) Wise Payoneer
IBAN country European EUR IBAN Belgium (BE…) Germany (DE…) or Lithuania (LT…)
Setup time 1–3 business days A few hours up to 1–2 business days 1–3 business days
Account creation Free Free Free
Monthly fees None when active; small fee if your account sits idle 6+ months None None — annual review applies only if your inflow is below ~6,000 USD over 12 months
Receiving EUR via SEPA Free or a small flat fee Free Free to ~1%
Withdrawing EUR to your local bank Flat fee per transfer Free to small fee depending on country Flat fee (~€1.50 per transfer for EUR-to-EUR; up to 2% above mid-market for cross-currency)
Currency conversion to local money Market rate plus a Paxum markup ~0.57% above mid-market Up to 2% above mid-market
Adult content creators Openly supported Case-by-case Case-by-case
Country coverage 50+ countries (adult-industry-friendly) 80+ countries 190+ countries

The real-world cost difference between the three is small if you cash out infrequently. The bigger lever for creators outside SEPA is the currency-conversion step, not the SEPA receive — so if you plan to keep most of your earnings in EUR (or spend them via a card the provider issues), the SEPA fee differences barely matter.

3. Why we lead with Paxum

For most fintechs, account closures because of adult-creator income are a real and recurring problem — accounts get frozen, money gets returned, and the creator has to rebuild from scratch with a new provider. Paxum has been operating in this space for over fifteen years and has built its product around payouts to creators in the adult industry. They run direct partnerships with major webcam platforms and are one of the only mainstream providers that names the adult industry as a supported customer segment in their public marketing.

Wise and Payoneer are both solid products and are widely used by Lewdden creators without issue, but their published terms reserve the right to review or close accounts on a case-by-case basis. If you want to minimise the chance of your IBAN going dark mid-cycle, Paxum is the safer pick.

4. What you’ll need to register either way

All three providers require the same paperwork. Get this together once and you can submit to whichever you choose:

  • Government-issued photo ID — passport, national ID card, or driver’s license. Both sides if it’s a card.
  • Selfie holding the ID (Wise — sometimes Paxum and Payoneer too) — done in-app or in-browser, not a separately uploaded file.
  • Proof of address — utility bill, bank statement, or government letter dated in the last 3 months, showing your name and current address.
  • Phone number — for SMS verification.
  • Your full legal name — must match your ID exactly, your Partner-ID registration exactly, and your Lewdden account.

Name consistency is the single most common reason payouts get rejected. If your ID says “Anastasia Maria Sokolova,” that’s the name on your IBAN provider, your Partner-ID, and your Lewdden account too — not “Annie Sokolova,” not “A. M. Sokolova.”

5. What the IBAN provider gives you, and what you put on your Partner-ID

After verification, your IBAN provider hands you (at minimum):

  • An IBAN — looks like BE12 3456 7890 1234 (Wise), DE12 3456 7890 1234 56 (Payoneer), or a European EUR IBAN issued by Paxum‘s banking partner.
  • A BIC / SWIFT code — e.g. TRWIBEB1XXX for Wise.
  • The bank country — Belgium for Wise, Germany or Lithuania for Payoneer, Paxum‘s banking partner country for Paxum.
  • The account holder name — yours, exactly as you registered.

You enter exactly those four into your Partner-ID registration — see Setting up your Partner-ID for the first time for the click-by-click. The bank country is the country of the IBAN provider, not your home country. A creator living in Manila using Wise enters “Belgium” as the bank country.

6. Pick one and follow the walkthrough

Three full guides — pick whichever you chose in section 1:

  • IBAN setup with Paxum (recommended) — open a free personal account, get a EUR IBAN, copy it into your Partner-ID registration.
  • IBAN setup with Wise — open a free personal account, add the small balance that unlocks account details, copy your Belgian IBAN into your Partner-ID registration.
  • IBAN setup with Payoneer — open a free freelancer account, request a EUR receiving account, copy your German or Lithuanian IBAN into your Partner-ID registration.

You only do this once. After your IBAN is in place and your Partner-ID is validated, every monthly payout from then on lands in that account automatically.

Common questions

Q: Why not Revolut, N26, or another digital bank?
Revolut accounts only get an IBAN if you opened the account as an EU/EEA resident — US-based and most non-EU Revolut accounts have no IBAN. N26 only accepts residents of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. Both are fine if you already have one with an IBAN; neither helps if your reason for reading this article is “I don’t have an IBAN.”

Q: I already have a SEPA-country bank account — do I need any of these?
No. Use your existing IBAN. This article is only relevant if you don’t have an IBAN, or you want a separate account for creator income.

Q: Can I switch providers later?
Yes. The IBAN lives on the partner registration side, not on Lewdden — you update it there and the next monthly cycle goes to the new account. Open a support ticket if you’d like us to pause the next payout while the change settles.

Q: I’m worried my regular bank will close my account if it sees creator income.
Use Paxum. That’s the specific scenario it’s built for.

Q: Does it have to be a personal account, or can I use a business account?
Both work. Wise has Wise Business; Payoneer has business plans; Paxum has business accounts for studios and agencies. The flow is similar but with company-registration documents on top of the personal ID. If you’re operating as a registered freelancer or company, the business account is usually the cleaner fit for tax purposes — ask your accountant.

Q: What about the prepaid Mastercard or debit card these providers offer?
Optional. All three offer a card you can use to spend your EUR balance directly. Useful if you want to access your money without converting to local currency — fewer FX fees, but card-issue and monthly card fees can apply. Read the provider’s card terms before ordering.

Q: How long until I can register my Partner-ID after starting the IBAN signup?
Plan on 1–3 business days for verification before you have an IBAN to copy. The Partner-ID registration itself then takes a few more business days for document review on the partner side. Total: under a week if you push, occasionally up to two weeks if anything bounces back. Start early — payouts only run once a month, so a one-week delay can mean a one-month delay in receiving your first payout.

Q: Will the IBAN provider ask what the income is for?
Usually yes, in a brief compliance questionnaire. Describe your work as content creation, freelance, or platform earnings. Be accurate — these questions exist to satisfy the provider’s anti-money-laundering obligations, not to qualify you for the account.

Q: My country isn’t supported by any of the three.
Open a support ticket. Edge cases exist; we’ll work with you on alternatives.
