Aim for the first three sections (account, profile, gear); the rest is polish.<\/p>\n<p>For what each show type means and how money flows, see <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/help\/public-ticketed-and-private-shows-explained\/\"><strong>Public, ticketed and 1:1 private shows<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>1. Account state \u2014 these have to be green<\/h2>\n<p>Two things must be in place before the <strong>Start live<\/strong> button is even clickable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Identity verification approved.<\/strong> If the studio page is showing a banner that says going live is locked until your verification is approved, your ID check hasn&#8217;t cleared yet. Go to <strong>My profile<\/strong> and finish or retry the verification flow first. Once approved, the banner disappears and <strong>Start live<\/strong> unlocks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You&#8217;re signed in as a creator<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/models-login\/\">\/models-login\/<\/a> (not the customer login at <code>\/my-account\/<\/code>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need a Partner-ID to go live \u2014 that only matters for getting paid out. You can stream and earn from day one; payouts unlock when your Partner-ID is set up. See <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/help\/setting-up-your-partner-id\/\"><strong>Setting up your Partner-ID<\/strong><\/a> for that.<\/p>\n<figure>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/golive-01-verification-gate.png\" alt=\"Studio page with verification gate banner visible.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>Studio page with verification gate banner visible.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>2. Fill out your profile \u2014 once, before your first stream<\/h2>\n<p>This is the single biggest thing you can do for discoverability before you ever go live. Open <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/store-manager\/my-profile\/\">\/store-manager\/my-profile\/<\/a> and walk through the sections \u2014 every field you fill in becomes a way for fans to find you.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s on the page:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Identity<\/strong> \u2014 display name and bio. Your bio is the first thing fans read on your profile and the live-room overlay; one strong sentence beats three vague ones.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where you&#8217;re from<\/strong> \u2014 country and languages (multi-select). Fans filter by language on the browse page, so picking the languages you actually stream in matters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>About you<\/strong> \u2014 age bucket, body type, ethnicity. These power the body-type and age-range filters on <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/all-categories\/\">\/all-categories\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Artist attributes<\/strong> \u2014 fifteen sub-pickers (height, body shape, hair colour &amp; length, eye colour, abs, endowment, girth, circumcised, pubic hair, piercings, tattoos, glasses, foot size, subculture). Fans browsing for a specific look use these heavily \u2014 every one you fill in is another search bucket your profile lives in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What you stream<\/strong> \u2014 VR and Cam2Cam toggles. Flip these on if you offer either; they show up as their own tabs on the browse page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public activities<\/strong> \u2014 a chip picker of show types you&#8217;re up for (smoking, role-play, JOI, etc.). Pick honestly; viewers find you through the activity chips on the browse page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stream preview card<\/strong> \u2014 upload a still image that represents your typical show. Without a custom card, <span translate=\"no\">Lewdden<\/span> auto-snapshots your live feed after a few minutes \u2014 usually fine, but a chosen card converts more browse-page viewers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It takes only a few minutes to fill out, and the more boxes you tick, the more search and browse paths land on your profile. Easily the highest-leverage few minutes you&#8217;ll spend before going live.<\/p>\n<figure>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/golive-02-profile-sections.png\" alt=\"\/store-manager\/my-profile\/ page with the section list visible.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>\/store-manager\/my-profile\/ page with the section list visible.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>3. Gear<\/h2>\n<p>The minimum kit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Camera<\/strong> \u2014 your laptop&#8217;s built-in webcam works. An external 1080p webcam is noticeably sharper. Phone cameras are fine \u2014 you can stream straight from your phone&#8217;s browser.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Microphone<\/strong> \u2014 built-in mic works in a quiet room, but a USB mic gives a much bigger lift in audio quality than spending more on the camera.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Light<\/strong> \u2014 one soft light pointed at your face beats any expensive camera in a dim room. A \u20ac30 ring light is enough.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy<\/strong> (only if you plan to stream with one) \u2014 pair it once before your first stream and install the <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> Cam Extension in your browser. See <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/help\/pairing-your-lovense-toy\/\"><strong>Pairing your <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy<\/strong><\/a> for the one-time setup walkthrough.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before the show, <strong>close any other app that uses your camera or mic<\/strong> \u2014 Zoom, FaceTime, OBS, Skype, even another browser tab. Browser &amp; permissions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.<\/strong> All current versions support what we need. Brave works too; obscure browsers may not.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Allow the site to use your camera and microphone<\/strong> when the browser prompts. If you accidentally clicked &#8220;Block,&#8221; click the camera icon in the address bar and re-allow them, then refresh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Make sure the URL starts with https.<\/strong> You should see a padlock icon in the address bar. Browsers won&#8217;t grant camera or microphone access on plain http pages, so always navigate via the menu or a bookmarked link, not by pasting an unsecured link from elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Streaming from your phone?<\/strong> Use the phone&#8217;s regular browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone). Network<\/h2>\n<p>You need a <strong>stable upload connection<\/strong>, not just a fast download. Speed-test your <strong>upload<\/strong> specifically.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gc-kb-table-scroll\" style=\"overflow-x:auto;-webkit-overflow-scrolling:touch;max-width:100%\"><table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Picture quality<\/th>\n<th>Streaming bitrate<\/th>\n<th>Upload bandwidth you should have<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Auto on phone<\/td>\n<td>2.5 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>4 Mbps +<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Auto on laptop \/ 4 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>4 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>6 Mbps +<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>6 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>6 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>9 Mbps +<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>8 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>8 Mbps<\/td>\n<td>12 Mbps +<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n<p>A few practical notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wired Ethernet beats Wi-Fi.<\/strong> If you can plug in, do.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wi-Fi 5 GHz (or Wi-Fi 6) beats 2.4 GHz.<\/strong> Move closer to the router or switch bands if the picture pixelates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t share the connection<\/strong> during the show \u2014 pause big downloads, cloud syncs, and other devices&#8217; video calls.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobile data works<\/strong> for short streams in a pinch, but it&#8217;s flaky and can rack up bills. Set up the room<\/h2>\n<p>Open <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/store-manager\/livestream\/\">\/store-manager\/livestream\/<\/a> and fill these in <strong>before<\/strong> clicking <strong>Start live<\/strong> \u2014 they appear on your live room the moment you go live:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Room title<\/strong> \u2014 what&#8217;s tonight&#8217;s show about? Short and specific beats clever. &#8220;Friday night smoking edition&#8221; reads better than &#8220;live again \u2764\ufe0f&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tags<\/strong> \u2014 pick from the tag picker. Tags are how viewers find you on <code>\/live\/<\/code>. Don&#8217;t keyword-stuff \u2014 pick the 3\u20136 that actually fit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public room mode<\/strong> \u2014 Free or Premium per-minute. This toggle lives in Settings \u2192 Pricing on the studio page. Pick what you want <strong>before<\/strong> clicking Start live \u2014 Free vs Premium is locked while you&#8217;re streaming, so flipping later means ending and restarting. Ticketed shows and Private shows are different \u2014 you start those mid-stream from the studio buttons (no need to pre-pick).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tip menu<\/strong> \u2014 set up two or three priced reactions (e.g. <em>50 tokens \u2014 wave<\/em>) that viewers can trigger from the chat. The studio has a tip-menu editor under Settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tip goal<\/strong> \u2014 optional one-line target shown on your room (&#8220;Goal: 1000 tokens for [thing]&#8221;). Most creators run a goal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stream preview card<\/strong> \u2014 covered in Section 2 (My Profile). Test your camera and audio<\/h2>\n<p>In the studio, hit <strong>Enable preview<\/strong> on the local preview window. You&#8217;ll see what your viewers will see \u2014 <em>minus<\/em> the audio (your own audio is muted in preview to stop feedback).<\/p>\n<p>Check:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Framing.<\/strong> Are you centred? Is your face well-lit and in focus? Is anything embarrassing in shot?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Headroom.<\/strong> Eyes about a third of the way down the frame, not stuck to the top.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Background.<\/strong> Is the door closed? Is anything visible that you don&#8217;t want public (whiteboards, mail, screens with logged-in apps)?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audio.<\/strong> Talk for 10 seconds. Then hop into your own room from a second device or another browser tab as a viewer to check the sound is clean and the levels are right.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When the preview looks right, click <strong>Stop preview<\/strong> \u2014 it doesn&#8217;t matter either way, the studio also turns the preview off when you go live and uses the live-camera feed instead.<\/p>\n<figure>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/golive-07-preview.png\" alt=\"Local preview video panel with Enable preview button highlighted.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>Local preview video panel with Enable preview button highlighted.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>8. Optional but worth it<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> pairing<\/strong> \u2014 if you use a <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy, pair it once on the <strong>Pair your <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy<\/strong> flow. Once paired, viewer tips automatically trigger reactions you&#8217;ve set up in the tip menu. See <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/help\/pairing-your-lovense-toy\/\"><strong>Pairing your <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy<\/strong><\/a> for the one-time setup.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span translate=\"no\">Cam2cam<\/span><\/strong> \u2014 you can offer cam2cam during 1:1 private shows. It&#8217;s opt-in; the toggle lives in the studio actions row once you&#8217;re live.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invite a co-creator<\/strong> \u2014 if you want to do a collab, click <strong>Invite co-creator<\/strong> and pick a friend. Default revenue split is 50\/50; the slider adjusts in 5% steps. See <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/help\/multi-creator-collabs-and-revenue-splits\/\"><strong>Multi-creator collabs<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stream schedule<\/strong> \u2014 at the very top of the studio there&#8217;s a &#8220;Stream schedule&#8221; card. Schedule upcoming shows; viewers see them on the <strong>Upcoming<\/strong> tab. Predictable schedules mean returning viewers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>9. Last 60 seconds<\/h2>\n<p>Right before you press <strong>Start live<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Close other camera\/mic apps<\/strong> (Zoom, FaceTime, OBS, etc.).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Close other browser tabs<\/strong> that are streaming or in a video call.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quick mirror check<\/strong> \u2014 light, framing, anything in shot you don&#8217;t want public.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Glass of water in reach.<\/strong> Your voice will thank you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phone on Do Not Disturb<\/strong> if you&#8217;re streaming from desktop and your phone&#8217;s near the mic.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> toy connected<\/strong> (if you use one) \u2014 open the <span translate=\"no\">Lovense<\/span> Cam Extension and confirm your toy shows in the connected toys list. If it&#8217;s offline, re-pair before going live.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Then hit <strong>Start live<\/strong>. The status pill flips from grey <strong>Offline<\/strong> to green <strong>Live<\/strong>, the viewer counter wakes up, and your room appears on <code>\/live\/<\/code>.<\/p>\n<figure>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/golive-08-start-button.png\" alt=\"Start live button highlighted on the studio actions row.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>Start live button highlighted on the studio actions row.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Common pre-show problems<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q: &#8220;Camera or microphone access was denied&#8221; \u2014 what now?<\/strong><br \/>\nClick the camera icon at the left of your browser&#8217;s address bar, set Camera and Microphone to <strong>Allow<\/strong> for lewdden.com, then refresh the studio page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: &#8220;No working camera or microphone was found&#8221; \u2014 but I have one plugged in.<\/strong><br \/>\nQuit any other app that might own the device (Zoom is the usual culprit), then refresh. If you have multiple cameras, pick the right one in the Camera dropdown at the top of the studio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: &#8220;Another app or tab may still be using it&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nSame as above \u2014 something else has the camera open. Close Zoom \/ FaceTime \/ OBS \/ other browser tabs and try again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: My picture looks blurry or pixelated.<\/strong><br \/>\nDrop the bitrate one notch (Settings \u2192 Stream bitrate \u2192 next-lower option) \u2014 your upload connection isn&#8217;t keeping up. If you&#8217;re on Wi-Fi, move closer to the router or switch to 5 GHz \/ Wi-Fi 6.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: Audio echo \/ feedback during the test.<\/strong><br \/>\nYou&#8217;re hearing yourself through your own speakers from your second-device viewer test. Either watch the test on muted speakers, or use headphones for the test pass.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: I went live, then realised something is off \u2014 can I stop and restart?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes. Click <strong>Stop live<\/strong>, fix the issue, click <strong>Start live<\/strong> again. Each time you start a fresh broadcast it begins a new session with a new VOD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: I lost connection mid-stream \u2014 am I still live?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe studio shows <strong>Reconnect live room<\/strong> if it can pick up where you left off. If you&#8217;re back within a minute, just click that. Beyond a minute or so, stop and start a fresh session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: Can I really stream from my phone?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes. Open <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.lewdden.com\/store-manager\/livestream\/\">\/store-manager\/livestream\/<\/a> in your phone&#8217;s regular browser, allow camera and mic when prompted, and press Start live. Auto picture quality drops to 720p on phones, which is a sensible default.
